who i am
Currently practicing in Southeast Michigan.
B.A. from The Evergreen State College in studio art & art history with a focus on Queer Studies.
After learning and practicing in Olympia, Washington for several years, I moved back to my home state, Michigan. I now practice in Detroit while working as a carpenter, educator, and caretaker. I am a student of material conditions, of our environments both natural and built, and of access to our needs being met. My work seeks to provide comfort, reach towards safety, and remind us all to be gentle with one another. I balance my natural idealism with a critical eye towards the very real conditions of people’s lives. I work to improve the quality of those conditions for all those I encounter with softness and empathy guiding my efforts.
